BioWare writer explains why Mass Effect film never came out

In 2010 year Electronic Arts sold the film rights Mass effect film companies Legendary Pictures… The co-founders were executive producers BioWare Rey Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, as well as co-creator of the series Casey Hudson.

However, the picture never came out. About the reasons in the interview Business Insider said BioWare Lead Writer Mac Walters.

“It seemed like we were always fighting against IP. What story will we tell in 90 or 120 minutes? Will we give the episode its due? ” – Mac Walters.

According to Walters, Legendary later changed leadership, which led to the desire to turn the adaptation into a TV series. The producers decided it was best to start all over again, but the project was never put into production, despite all the efforts.

However, Walters believes that someday the series will get an adaptation and that it naturally blends well with episodic content.

“When we create Mass Effect, we have a baseline in the form of a general story that we want to tell, but each level or mission is like a separate episode. They are not written in advance. They are written at the time when we approach them. Later they are added to the main story, but sometimes the main story is adjusted because we did something really cool in this episode. ”- Mac Walters
