BioWare CEO Casey Hudson unexpectedly leaves the company, along with Dragon Age producer

Chapter BioWare and creative director of the first trilogy Mass Effect Casey Hudson announced his retirement from the company. In a statement published on the official blog, he noted that the challenging year 2023 forced him to rethink a lot about life and work, as a result of which he came up with the idea to “try yourself in something else.”

Hudson does not yet know exactly what he will do, but he assures that he has a lot of strength and energy.

The news came as a surprise to BioWare fans, many of whom saw Hudson as the savior of their beloved brand. In 2014 he already left the company., and a few years later he returned and claimed to be aware of BioWare’s problems and was ready to solve them.

Just recently, a new part of the Mass Effect series was announced.

Simultaneously with Hudson, another veteran of the company announced his retirement from BioWare – Mark Darrah, executive producer of the series Dragon age

At the same time, Hudson and Darrah assured that new projects in the series Mass Effect and Dragon Age are not canceled – they are “in good hands.” Development also continues Anthem next
