Polish studio Weird Fish is working on an anonymous space sandbox

At the end of last year, another independent gaming studio appeared in Poland, Weird fish. It was opened by Marek Sable, co-founder Creepy jar (Green hell), and Victor Szymanski, former director of the Warsaw branch Techland.

Currently, Weird Fish has eleven full-time employees and approximately the same number of contractors. All of them are experienced developers working on Dead island, Dead island riptide, Call of juarez, Dying light, nail’d, Mad riders, Hard reset, Painkiller and other games.

The goal of the studio is the creation of high-quality sandboxes. And the studio is already working on the first project, although its name does not communicate.

The action of the future game takes place in space. The player’s mission is to survive on a spaceship until he reaches a planet fit for life. The company will make him several thousand colonists in suspended animation. And not only them: the game provides for a cooperative of up to eight people.

During the game, we have to take care of the safety of the ship and passengers: eliminate breakdowns and accidents, maintain normal oxygen levels, bypass black holes and cope with raids by strangers. And all this should happen with a comic book style of humor.

An unnamed game is planned to be released in early access. On the PC, it starts in the second quarter of 2023. Over time, the game will also appear on the consoles of the current and new generation. But for now, the main concern of the studio management is the search for investors: the budget of the game should be about a million dollars.
