Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks will get a remaster? Ed Boone votes among fans

Ed Boone, creative director and co-creator of the franchise Mortal kombat, launched a Twitter poll among fans to find out which part of the fighting game remaster they would like to see.

The game designer questionnaire contains Mortal kombat: deception, Mortal kombat 9, Mortal kombat 2 and Mortal kombat: shaolin monks… The latter option quickly pulled ahead in terms of votes, hitting the trends of American Twitter, which, judging by the developer’s reaction, surprised him.

The adventure spin-off was awarded 47.3% votes. He left behind the ninth part (27.8%) and Mortal Kombat: Deception (14.1%).

This isn’t the first time Ed Boone has teased fans wanting to see a remaster or sequel to the brutal beat-up in the Mortal Kombat franchise. For example, last year the head of the studio NetherRealm published magazine image Game Informer with Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks on the cover, and on May 16 he posted a photo toad with the caption “MK: Shaolin Monks Coming Next Week”.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks was released back in 2005 on consoles Playstation 2 and original Xbox… In it, solo or co-op players as Liu Kang or Kong Lao set out on a journey to thwart Shang Tsung’s plans, punching their way through multiple foes and encountering familiar characters.
