CS: GO turned into Overwatch

Popular team shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive from Valve turned into another representative of the genre Overwatch from Blizzard, retaining all the main features.

Youtube user with the nickname K1nex posted a video in which he showed a hybrid shooter CS: GO and Overwatch, according to Gamebomb.ru. In it, he completely changed the game’s interface from Valve, added the commentator’s voice and character replicas. The author turned all grenades, weapons and a bomb with a mine clearance kit into special skills of Overwatch heroes. Sight mode on sniper rifles has also become an ability. In addition, all the characters received the superpower Infrasrenia. It is used by the Fatal Widow in Overwatch to see enemies through walls.

To completely turn CS: GO into Overwatch, the author of the video has a corresponding loading screen, Gamebomb.ru reports. In addition, a character selection menu appeared before the start of the match. It turned out to be beautifully implemented, thanks to the latest major update to CS: GO. It appeared character skins with their own animations, and some with unique voice acting. After the match, a screen from Overwatch appears, which displays the achievements of the gamer for the game: damage done and received, number of killings and deaths, experience gained and others.

Youtube users really liked the idea of K1nex. They praised the author for the excellent installation of beautiful moments from the real CS: GO game, as well as for the competent and appropriate use of the Overwatch features.

CS: GO was released in 2012 on Steam. After 7 years, the shooter remains one of the site’s most popular games, sometimes ahead of even PUBG and Dota 2. Overwatch was released in 2016, and Overwatch 2 is expected to be released in 2023.
