Streaming Release Not Canceled: Denis Villeneuve’s Dune Coming To HBO Max Including Cinemas

There were reports tonight that WarnerMedia allegedly revised its hybrid release schedule for 2023, making an exception for Denis Villeneuve’s science fiction film “Dune“.

The creators of the tape, including the director himself, were initially against the simultaneous release of the tape in cinemas and on the streaming service. HBO Maxas this could put an end to the further development of the franchise if the fees are insufficient.

The first that the digital premiere of “Dune” was pushed away from the theatrical, was reported by Deadline, but this information is not true.

Distribution Manager WB Jeff Goldstein stated that scheduled for 1 october Dune’s release format has not changed. The film, like all of the studio’s other upcoming 2023 releases, will hit HBO Max at the same time as traditional theatrical distribution.

Head of Communications, WarnerMedia Joanna Fuentes also confirmed in her microblog that the US premiere of “Dune” will take place both in cinemas and on streaming.

HBO Max is not officially available in Russia, so the tape will be released only in cinemas, and two weeks earlier than in America – 16th September
