Bethesda Artist: Starfield Trailer Contains Real Graphics

Xbox and Bethesda E3 Show Teaser Trailer Starfield contained a footnote stating that the game is being built using the new engine Creation Engine 2, and everything shown in the video is in-game footage based on the alpha version.

Senior Lighting Artist Bethesda Game Studios Keefe Beltramini the other day I posted on my profile on ArtStation a selection of high-quality screenshots from the Starfield trailer, confirming that the video was created entirely in-game without the use of any cinematic tools… In other words, the studio did not process the material to achieve the best picture, but showed real graphics.

“I was working on the lighting for the teaser trailer for Starfield 2023. Using our own Creation Engine 2, we created a completely in-game video without any cinematic tools. I worked closely with director Istvan Peli and helped in the art direction of everything that is about lighting and mood creation. “

Starfield kicks off 11th November 2023 Xbox Series X / S and PC only. The game will be available on Game Pass from day one.
