This speech, amid Sony’s shift towards “safe investment”, caused a lot of frustration among players – and this against the backdrop of the closure of Japan Studio, the lack of major screenings of PS5 games and the upcoming shutdown of the PS3, PS Vita and PSP stores.

Sean Leiden unexpectedly left Sony in the fall of 2019 without explaining the reasons – but even then it was clear that a large-scale reshuffle began in the PlayStation. Six months earlier, in February 2019, Jim Ryan became the head of the entire Sony gaming direction – he is considered by many players to be the cause of the PlayStation’s troubles, since he resembles “an uncle in a jacket.”

Sean Leiden loves to present the announcements beautifully, whether it’s The Last of Us: Part II, a MediEvil remake, a WipEout remaster, or a remake of the Crash Bandicoot trilogy.

Interestingly, Leiden himself actively likes the tweets of disgruntled people who do not believe in the bright future of the PlayStation and want Sean to return to his former place.
