You don’t want microtransactions? Sony has registered a new patent designed to help users with the passage of games

Company Sony registered a patent for a system that allows the platform to automatically collect and process a wide variety of game statistics, which in turn can later be used to give users up-to-date and useful tips on passing certain sections of games, such as intricate puzzles or battles with difficult bosses .

The potential system functions in such a way that game hints are limited not only to banal recommendations on the best and most winning tactics, but can also remind the player of the absence of any useful or necessary resource for further progress. What is noteworthy, the patent itself states that under the concept of “useful resource“things like various kinds of things, improvements, addons and even paid downloadable content.

In fact, this means that if you encounter difficulties while completing your favorite project, the add-on described in the patent may automatically suggest you go to a digital store and use the microtransaction services that will potentially facilitate the game.

Whether Sony’s new patent will be reflected in any of the company’s future developments is still unknown, because not all registered documents survive before implementation. The release of the PlayStation 5 console is scheduled for the holiday season of this year.
