The sequel to the new film adaptation of Tomb Raider received the title “Obsidian”

Sequel writer Tomb raider Misha Green (“Lovecraft Country”) toldthat work on the first version of the story has already been completed.

The tape received the subtitle “Obsidian”, but it has not yet been officially approved by the studio, so the name may still be changed. In addition, the film is still far from the start of full-fledged production.

Greene will also direct her debut as a director. Previously, the authors of the picture were Amy Jump and Ben Wheatley (“Shootout”).

Development of a sequel with Alicia Vikander has been under way since 2019, but production was stopped several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.
