Tencent Knows How to Transfer Accounts by Will – review Addiction

Chinese company Tencent filed a patent on the technology of transferring digital assets by inheritance. It allows you to leave your virtual achievements to your chosen heirs, and this applies not only to accounts in online games or digital stores.
Not so long ago, a similar technology was announced by the company Apple… It allows you to appoint an administrator who would have access to all the data of the deceased on all Apple devices and in the iCloud cloud storage. This does not apply to financial data, saved credit cards and accounts. Keychain

Tencent’s technology lacks a single administrator. Instead, it should allow virtual state to be shared among different heirs.

It is not yet known when Tencent is going to announce its own contribution to inheritance law. In addition, it is not clear how this offer relates to user agreements, in most of which customers do not own their own purchases, they just pay for access to the service.

Currently, a number of social networks allow you to decide what to do with your account in the event of the death of the owner: delete it, transfer it to memorial status, or transfer access to a trusted person. There are also services that take over the mailing of logins and passwords to the specified people: letters are sent if the client does not respond to a regular request several times in a row.
