Showdown introduced a new boss named Scrapbeak – review addiction

After the completion of the first act of the As The Crow Flies event, the developers of the co-op shooter Hunt: Showdown introduced a new, fourth boss of the game named Scrapbeak.

According to the trailer, Scrapbeak is a veteran of the American Civil War who had to have his legs amputated after one of the battles in Louisiana in 1863. 32 years later, he has become who the players will face in the game.

Key features of Scrapbeak:

  • The area around the lair is devoid of all supplies.
  • In a fit of madness, Scrapbeak will begin to shed and drop the equipped tool and up to three items, and then equip a new random tool.
  • Among the tools: axes, hammers, shovels and pitchforks.
  • If the attack is triggered by an explosion or if the Scrapbeak is lit, the dropped objects will be damaged and unusable.
  • During insanity, all damage is reduced by 50%.
  • The backpack reduces damage from most targeted attacks, such as shots, by 50%. The effect does not affect piercing attacks.
  • Reducing damage of backpack and during insanity add up.
  • Scrapbeak can also throw barbed wire bombs.
