Sony announced that in the first 72 hours of sale The Last of Us: Part II exceeded 4 million copies.
This is an absolute record for Sony – the previous title holder was “Spider man”, Which for the same period sold in circulation of 3.3 million copies. In addition, the new product managed to bypass the starting indicators of the remake. Final Fantasy VII 3.5 million copies.
Rating of the best-selling PS4 exclusives in the first 72 hours:
- The Last of Us: Part II – 4 million copies
- Final Fantasy VII (2020) – 3.5 million copies
- “Spider man“- 3.3 million copies
- God of war (2018) – 3.1 million copies
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – 2.7 million copies.
The author of The Last of Us: Part II Neil Drackmann thanked the players for their impressions, screenshots, gifs and reviews about the new product, noting that it took hundreds of specialists to work all this.
Sony also notes that in the near future a couple of notable exclusives will be released on PS4: on July 3, the owners of PS VR will be waiting for Iron Man, and on July 17 – Ghost of Tsushima.
