Switch sales exceeded 89 million, Switch games – 632 million – review addiction

Nintendo spoke about her achievements for the last quarter – from the beginning of April to the end of June this year.

The company notes that its games released during this period of time showed a good start in sales:

  • New Pokémon Snap – 2.07 million copies (excluding sales in Japan);
  • Miitopia – 1.04 million copies;
  • Mario Golf: Super Rush – 1.34 million copies.

Previously released Nintendo projects also performed well:

  • Mario kart 8 deluxe – 1.69 million copies per quarter (37.08 million copies in total);
  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 1.26 million copies per quarter (total 33.89 million copies);
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 930 thousand copies per quarter (total 24.77 million copies);
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 920 thousand copies per quarter (total 23.2 million copies);
  • Pokémon Sword and Shield – 750 thousand copies per quarter (total 21.85 million copies);
  • Super mario odyssey – 579 thousand copies per quarter (total 21.4 million copies);
  • Super mario party – 930 thousand copies per quarter (total 15.72 million copies);
  • Pokémon: Let’s Go! – 290 thousand copies per quarter (total 13.57 million copies);
  • Splatoon 2 – 240 thousand copies per quarter (total 12.45 million copies);
  • Ring fit adventure – 1.15 million copies per quarter (total 11.26 million copies);
  • Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury – 1.09 million copies per quarter (6.68 million copies in total).

In terms of quarterly sales of Switch and games for them, the first figure was 4.45 million devices (total – 89.04 million), and second – 45.29 million games (total – 632.4 million). Compared to the same period last year, sales of consoles fell 21.7%, and video games – 10.2%.

Revenues from digital games sales also decreased (by 24.9%), as well as profits from mobile projects – however, quite insignificantly (by 0.6%). However, the company has not changed its May forecasts for this fiscal year.
