“Our things were thrown into the trash, the head disappeared”: The creators of Devil’s Hunt spoke about the sudden closure of the studio

Polish studio staff Layopi gamesthat created the game Devil’s huntreported that they were left without work under strange circumstances. According to the portal PolskiGamedev.pl, experts told the journalist Wojciech Grushczyk that when they came to work last Friday, they found an empty office – the equipment was lost and their personal belongings were literally dumped in the trash. Before that, the team did not receive a salary for three months – for December, January and February they did not pay a dime.

Layopi Games president Pavel Lesnyak turned off corporate mail, he can’t contact him.

Polish media studied the reviews of Layopi Games on gowork.pl and found that there, on condition of anonymity, had long written about problems in the studio and criticized Lesnyak. In particular, the latter was called a “liar” and a “scammer.”

“Before Christmas, employees learned that there was no money and it is not known what will happen next. The employer asks to wait, blaming external factors,” one of the messages of January 23 said.

“The boss cannot explain when the salary will be. Communicating with him does not lead to anything, it’s impossible to reach it. Every week the same song, no professionalism,” says another post on February 7.

In September, Layopi Games studio released Devil’s Hunt, which received very low marks in the press. Our website awarded her 5 points out of 10 possible.

The project was published by 1C Entertainment.
