Microsoft uses search in Windows 10 to advertise its services – review

In Windows 10, the company Microsoft dramatically changed the search capabilities by adding a function directly to the taskbar. However, then the possibilities of Windows Search expanded. Now this system is a dashboard for frequently used applications and documents.

But, as it turned out, Microsoft uses search as a platform to promote its new services and applications. For example, there appear offers to update the Edge browser, as well as data on the coronavirus.
This is not the first such experiment. Previously, Microsoft advertised in the Outlook email client, a built-in text editor. Wordpad, and also experimented with this in Explorer. Fortunately, it has not yet reached the release.

In addition, all these ads and ad units can simply be closed, although their very presence is annoying. It is hoped that in the future the company will not become too actively spamming advertising. It seems that you should not hope for its complete absence.
