Legion after migration? – review addiction

Ubisoft said more than once that she postponed Watch Dogs: Legion for six months, not for the sake of additional polishing, since technically the game was ready to be released, but for the sake of adding unique gameplay features.

But what really changed in the action movie after the transfer? Having studied several previews of journalists, we found some serious innovations and rethinking of the original plans.

To begin with, it turned out to be a failure Ghost recon breakpoint and her leveling system hit Watch Dogs hard. A year ago, enemies and allies had levels as in the same Assassin’s creed odysseyHowever, in the end they were abandoned.

The official reason is that if the allies had remained with the standard leveling up, then many players would have found several high-level favorites and less and less resorting to the help of newcomers, which goes against the original idea of the Legion.

Specifically, the developers say nothing about the abolition of levels in enemies.

Each resident of virtual London has its own characteristics. Everyone can be recruited, but first you have to complete some unique task of loyalty – and its complexity can be completely different.

From “filling the face of the pursuer” to a multi-stage task of tracking down, theft and some kind of fraud.

Further: the team spent a lot of time adding new character archetypes, but it is much more interesting that initially it was impossible, for example, to recruit a security guard of a local company, who could easily study enemy territory. A kind of Hitman, only much more laconic due to the fact that the character remains the same.

A year ago, when recruiting at DedSec, characters with jobs were immediately fired, so it was impossible to take advantage of their unique position.

Of the smaller innovations, it is worth noting that now the permanent death of the characters will become optional – if the user does not want to play with such high stakes, he can turn off the possibility of the irrevocable death of the hero.

In this case, apparently, the character in any condition will end up in a hospital or prison, where he will spend some time before being able to return to the group for further missions. There is such a mechanic with permanent death, but there is always a risk of the hacker’s final death.

Returning to the level system, it is worth recalling that the developers Assassin’s creed valhalla also abandoned the traditional levels that appeared in The Sources and Odyssey.

Watch Dogs: Legion launches on October 29 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Later, the game will get to PS5 and Xbox Series X. Owners of the project on consoles of the current generation will receive nextgen-version for free.

Recall that the leading studio of Legion became Ubisoft Toronto – creators Splinter Cell: Blacklist. They also lead production Far cry 6, in fact, taking from the division in Montreal as many as two major series.
