Back to the Mansion: New footage from the filming of the restart of Resident Evil

Authors of the upcoming relaunch of the film series Resident evil intend to largely match the tone of the original games in the franchise.

Recently, footage of the interior of the building appeared on the network Scottish Rite Club, which they want to partially turn into Ozwell Spencer’s mansion from the first part of Resident Evil. In the comments, some users noted that this building has already been used for filming in other films, such as horror “It 2“.

The premises shown in the photographs will reflect the interior of Spencer’s estate. Previously the network published footage with the scenery of the outer part of the building, presumably after the destruction.

However, some fans did not appreciate the location chosen for the shooting, noting the reduced size and the absence of a number of iconic spaces, such as a lobby with a grand staircase and a dining room. However, there is a chance that the mansion will be expanded on-screen with filming in other locations.

Shot from the movie “It 2”

As previously reported, the plot of the restart of the Resident Evil movie will take the events of the first two games as a basis, which means that on the screen we will see both Spencer’s mansion and the streets of Raccoon City, which are filled with the undead.

In addition to the film, an animated series and a live-action show are also in production. Read more about new projects for the Resident Evil franchise written here

At the moment, the premiere of the film is expected in 2023, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release of the tape may be postponed to a later date.
