The basis of the idea from “Loki” was the reasoning about the “War of Infinity” – Igromania

In a new interview, the screenwriter “Loki” Michael Valdron said that a “thought experiment” became the basis for one of the series’ character branches.

The author tried to present a scenario in which Loki does not die at the hands of Thanos in “War of Infinity”… The idea took shape and it was implemented in the series – today the penultimate episode was just released.

FOLLOWS SPOILERS TO THE SERIES

This is a “classic” version of Loki performed by Richard E. Grant – in a fresh episode, he turns out to be the strongest influence on the hero Tom Hiddleston, including thanks to its past.

The classic Loki actually managed to survive with the help of projection magic, after which he traveled through space and stayed to live on a distant and secluded planet, reflecting on his place in the universe.

But one day the loneliness became completely unbearable and he was going to restore relations with his brother Thor – but the time control organization intervened in the matter, destroying these plans. According to Valdron, this plot is a reminder that the hero can also change and his fate is not dictated by one version of the Sacred Timeline.

The author added that this is one of the saddest lines, in which a certain lesson is laid for the main Loki – he does not have to live alone.

The sixth and final episode of the series will air on July 14th.
