The Animus Anomaly and the Return of the Original Trilogy Hero – New Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Screenshots Appear

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla just a few weeks from release, but fans still have questions about the new installment in the series. In particular, fans are interested in the details of the game’s storyline in the modern world. Ubisoft previously confirmed that the events of Valhalla today will continue the story begun in Assassin’s Creed: Origins, however, no further details on this matter have been reported until today, when several screenshots have leaked online confirming the return of a key character.

This character became Leila Hassan, who played an important role in “Origins” and “Odyssey”… The six leaked images show the heroine as she progresses through one of the Animus anomalies.

It looks like it will be one of the early chapters of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and probably the first with Leila. The screenshots also show a dialogue with a certain Rebeca. It is possible that it is missing Rebecca Crane, who played one of the key roles in the original Assassin’s Creed trilogy.

As for the Animus anomaly, it is a set of floating digital blocks, the last of which is illuminated by a bright ray of light rushing into the sky. Judging by the conversation between Leila and Rebeca, the heroine will have to get through all the blocks and pick up some lost data packet at the end of the test.

For the first time about the appearance of Animus anomalies in “Valhalla” back in July, the narrative director of the game told Darby McDevitt… According to him, they will help to better connect the storylines of the game in the present and the past, as well as save the narrative from sharp leaps from one historical period to another.

The release of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will take place 10th November on Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from the Epic Games Store and Uplay. PlayStation 5 version will be released 19th November simultaneously with the launch of the console on sale.
