“Virgo” brought PS5 to its knees: Resident Evil Village demo analysis presented

This week, console owners Playstation 5 got the opportunity to try an exclusive demo Resident evil villagewhich is called Maiden (“Virgo“). Due to its release in work PSN even had a problem.

YouTube channel author VG Tech already analyzed the performance of the demo version of the game, in the heart of which the improved version of the graphics engine beats RE Engine… The results were interesting.

According to the blogger, Maiden works in 4K resolution, but the developers from Capcom use some kind of checkerboard rendering variation. Also, the demo has performance issues.

Most of the time, Maiden is shooting at a fair 60 frames per second. Drawdowns begin when the character enters the central hall or collides with one of the daughters lady dimitrescu… Apparently, the PS5 does not cope well with the abundance of alpha effects (the vampire can turn into a swarm of insects).
