Developers of a survival horror game with asymmetric multiplayer Friday the 13th: The Game suddenly announced the end of support for the project.

The last patch for the game will be released this month. In addition to a long list of fixes, the update will remove support for dedicated servers, but they are not going to completely close online – database servers will remain active, and users can continue to compete with each other through quick play and private peer-to-peer matches

The official forums on Friday the 13th: The Game will be closed and archived, and social media channels will be limited to posting only necessary announcements. The game itself will be available for purchase as before. Also, the authors leave active for an indefinite period of time doubled experience, customization points and the rate of loss of cassettes, which were set at the beginning of the pandemic.

Friday the 13th: The Game launched in 2017 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and was released on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
