The authors of Bleeding Edge told why their game is not like Overwatch – review

Authors of the multiplayer action movie team Bleeding edge from studio Ninja theory (DmC: Devil May Cry, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice) published a new video in which creative director Rani Tucker answered several questions from the players.

Right after the announcement of Bleeding Edge, many players began to compare it with OverwatchHowever, in the early stages of development, the action movie looked more like MOBA. According to Tucker, there were towers, minions and lines in the game, but later the developers realized that maintaining the same level of strategic thinking with a third-person perspective is quite difficult.

In addition, the creative director notes that Bleeding Edge, unlike Overwatch, will be a third-person action movie with all the features of this genre. Players are waiting for the capture of the target, combos, evasion and parry. There will also be a mod system in the game, with which players can adjust the characters to suit their playing style.

Finally, Tucker said that the team has no plans to introduce microtransactions into Bleeding Edge. Players will have to get all cosmetic items through the gameplay.

Bleeding Edge will be released March 24 on PC (Steam, Microsoft store) and Xbox One. Also, access to the game will be received by subscribers Xbox game pass. Pre-ordered gamers will be able to take part in closed beta tests, which will be held on February 14 and March 13, as well as receive a set of cosmetic items.
