Outflow of subscribers to streaming services is growing due to a pandemic – review

According to an analytical firm Parks associates, the total outflow of users of streaming services has recently increased compared to 2019.

So, in the first quarter of 2023, about 41% of viewers refused various offers, while in 2019 this figure was 35%. At the same time, some do not leave the streaming completely, but change their sites – from Netflix on the Disney + etc.

Among the new viewers in the United States who subscribed to certain services during the coronavirus pandemic, most choose Disney + or Apple TV +. However, a total leader in the sector is still Netflix.

The decision regarding subscriptions is greatly influenced by the catalog of services and various preferential offers, which some are already ending.
