Five chips nextgen: the authors of Spider-Man: Miles Morales talked about the version for the PlayStation 5 and clearly showed the difference

Edition GameInformer published a new material about Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which details the five main differences between playing on Playstation 5 from version for Playstation 4

The first difference is the lack of loading screens:

With PS5 SSD, downloads are faster. If a character dies or uses fast travel, then return to the game occurs almost instantly – the screen simply goes blank and then reappears. The PS4 version has downloads and subway rides as before.

The second difference is a world with a higher level of graphic fidelity:

The PlayStation 5 game uses ray tracing all over the place to achieve realistic reflections from ice, puddles, glass, and the city, characters and particle system are more detailed.

The third difference is more believable characters:

During the development of the game, many different techniques were involved that were not possible before. The characters were scanned using 4D equipment and includes more capture data, which makes the game more believable. In addition, the project uses a more detailed and realistic filament-based hair rendering technique that was also not feasible before.

The fourth difference is smoother action and more destruction:

In the PlayStation 5 version, players will notice a lot more destruction, as well as improved particle systems and simulations, which raise the action to a new level of cinematography. In addition, animations now have improved fidelity, making Miles Morales’ movements smoother.

The fifth difference is more exciting battles thanks to the DualSense controller:

The DualShock 4 can vibrate, but only on DualSense can you feel how the bioelectric impulse flows from one side of the controller to the other, and thanks to the adaptive triggers, flying on the web will be more intuitive, making you feel the connection of the web with buildings and its tension.

Wherein Insomniac Games emphasizes that the PlayStation 4 version is also enjoyable and beautiful to play, but all of the improvements listed above truly complement each other to provide the most complete Spider-Man experience on PlayStation 5.
