Samsung, Amazon and Tesla oppose NVIDIA’s acquisition of ARM

Samsung, Amazon and Tesla joined Qualcomm, Google and Microsoft in opposition NVIDIA, claims The telegraph with reference to our own sources. The companies don’t want the chipmaker to buy the UK-based SoC maker ARM.

Opponents of the merger believe the deal will pose significant competition challenges in today’s electronics market.

It is reported that the US Federal Trade Commission is considering the feasibility of the transaction. The results of the investigation may be released in September.

Recall that last year NVIDIA expressed a desire to buy ARM for $ 40 billion. To close the deal, the company needs to obtain approval from American, Chinese, European and British regulators.
