Valve has updated Steam: The client will no longer crash if your library has more than 25 thousand games

At this moment Steam has a little more than 51 thousand games, but as it turned out, until recently, there was a bug in the service that caused the client to malfunction if the user’s library consisted of 25 thousand games or more.

There are probably not many such users, but in the fresh beta update Valve has fixed the error… According to the site SteamLadder, only three people in the whole world own a library from above 25 thousand games, however, their public Steam profiles show less as they don’t seem to account for hidden titles. At the same time, SteamDB has its own table of the largest collectors, and according to it the record holder for the number of games is a Chinese gamer under the nickname Sonixwhose account has more 42 thousand

In the same update, Valve, by the way, introduced another innovation. Achievements that track progress now display relevant information when you hover over them on the game details page.
