Top 10 anime villains JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Berserker, Gantz, Evangelion, Magic Battle

Anime resource editorial office Honey’s anime has compiled a list of the ten best villains in Japanese animation. Not necessarily villains, but characters whose characters and personal qualities are sometimes simply impossible not to question

The resulting top can be found below.

10. Shinji Ikari – “Evangelion”

This character is often ranked among the most hated anime protagonists. Of course, Shinji finds himself in a very difficult situation, especially for his age. However, any sympathy for him can very quickly fade away when the viewer realizes that his unwillingness to take responsibility and control the fucking robot potentially puts the whole world in great danger.

9. Fumiya Tomozaki – “Low-level character Tomozaki”

The reclusive gamer who divides the world into “winners” and “losers” is difficult to call a villain. Nevertheless, during the show, Tomozaki continues to consistently show his most negative character traits – the hero actively manipulates other people, and frequent reflection does not push him to at least try to solve a bunch of his own problems.

8. Ichika Orimura – “Endless Heaven”

In Orimura’s case, criticism from Endless Heaven fans is often somewhat unusual. The fans of the title dilute their sympathy for the protagonist with endless hatred for one simple reason – having unwittingly arranged a real harem around him, the character stably continues to ignore all his friends. He does it, rather, unconsciously. But it is simply impossible to love him for that.

7. Seto Kaiba – “Yugio! Dueling Monsters”

All his life, Kaiba existed in the shadow of Yugio. And despite his power and wealth, he simply could not defeat his rival in the discipline to which he literally devoted his existence. As a result, to put it mildly, Kaiba became somewhat “irritable”. He does not care about the fate of those around him, with the exception of only his younger brother. Sometimes Kaiba’s craze for victory can reach such a degree that he will be ready to put his own life on the line.

6. Kei Kurono – “Gantz”

Kay, for all his flaws, perfectly captures the stereotypical rogue teenager, and this image fits well enough into the quirky world of “Gantz.” Not wanting to put up with the people around him, the hero takes out all his anger at the alien enemies. But if you expect that the experience will help him become better, prepare for disappointment. This character is ready to reject anyone who once somehow “let him down”, continuing to remain a cold loner. In the original manga, the situation is somewhat different, but for most of the work, positive characteristics for Kay simply do not come to mind.

5. Griffith – “Berserker”

Griffith is an extremely selfish and self-centered character. Any actions that he performs always come from the desire to achieve his own goals. Putting the closest people on the altar of his dreams, Griffith completely loses any humanity, turning from an ordinary villain into something much more terrible.

4. Mahito – “Magic battle”

Mahito is an almost perfect antagonist, devoid of his favorite moral framework. Good-natured and disposed, at any moment he is ready to subdue your mind, adding another faithful puppet to his collection. Of course, on the warpath, there are simply no restrictions for him – Mahito is ready to torture his opponents both physically and mentally.

3. Dio Brando – “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”

A character whose presence literally permeates the entire JoJo franchise. Unprincipled, cold and incredibly powerful Dio does not seem to be trying to seem like someone else. Obsessed with the idea of absolute power, he is ready to destroy anyone – men, women, children, and even his own kind.

2. Petelgeuse Romane-Conti – “Re: Zero. Life from scratch in an alternative world”

Fans of “Re: Zero” remembered Petelgeuse for one simple reason – he repeatedly mocked his beloved by millions of Rem, while often forcing Subaru himself to watch the process. Scoundrel is the least of those words that can describe such a scoundrel.

1. Makoto Ito – “School days”

Another hero, often awarded the title of “most annoying anime character”. Liar, scoundrel and womanizer. Makoto is ready not only to betray, but also to literally destroy the feelings of those to whom he is dear. Not the personification of universal evil, but definitely a terrible villain.
