The Last of Us Part II, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Hades and World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will compete for the title of LGBT Game of the Year

American LGBT organization GLAADdedicated to combating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation, presented nominees 32nd Prize GLAAD Media Awards in category “An outstanding game” (Outstanding Video Game)

This year’s list of nominees, “portraying LGBT characters and their concerns most accurately, honestly and inclusively”, as follows:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla;
  • Borderlands 3: Guns, Love, and Tentacles;
  • Bugsnax;
  • Hades;
  • If Found …;
  • Ikenfell;
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising;
  • The Last of Us Part II;
  • Tell Me Why;
  • World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.

Previously reported, what The Last of Us Part II became the most awarded game in history. The last creation Naughty dog won 261 Game of the Year awards in 2023, a new record. Prior to that, the first place in terms of the number of awards was held by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from the Polish CD Projekt RED with 260 prizes in this nomination.
