The Elder Scrolls Online Developers To Change Resolution To Dynamic At 60 FPS On Xbox Series X | S And PS5

An updated version was released in mid-June The Elder Scrolls Online for Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5. Since then, the developers continue to “finish” the project and prepare for the release of a fresh update with new improvements.

The most significant change in the patch will be the addition of dynamic resolution in performance mode… Instead of native 1440p on Xbox series x and Playstation 5 the game will run scaling between 1080p and 2160p, while on Xbox series s the resolution will change from constant 1080p to floating 1080-1440p.

The authors noted that in most cases, Xbox Series X users will be able to play almost 4K at 60fps in performance mode, but reducing the resolution down to 1080p on the other hand will help to avoid the FPS drop in action scenes.

The second point is the new HDR mode, which does not distort shades.… With it, TESO will look almost the same as in SDR, only with an increased brightness range. However, the current HDR mode will still remain in-game as an option.

Finally, with the release of an update to the game at PC the beta version of multithreaded rendering will be delivered… You can enable it in the settings, and for those who have ESO consuming a lot of CPU resources, this option will help to increase the frame rate.

The PC version of The Elder Scrolls Online will receive the update on August 23rd, and the console version – on the 31st.
