At the end of the working week, insiders Navtra and NateDrake announced the development of a new exclusive Final Fantasy for Playstation 5, which can be announced already at E3 2023. According to them, the secret project will offer role-playing elements, but will lead the series to some new territory.
Now French blogger Souls Hunt claims, citing his trusted source, that we are talking about soul-like action, which is being developed by the studio for Square Enix Team Ninjaknown for its dilogy Nioh… He compared the upcoming game to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was also somewhat inspired by FromSoftware’s Souls series, and believes it will be unveiled at this E3.
That said, if the information is correct, after the announcement, the authors will release a playable demo this summer to collect feedback, as was the case with both parts of Nioh. The informant also added that the game is now being held under the name Final fantasy origins and is indeed created as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, but there is a chance that this will only be a temporary exclusive, and at some point later the project will appear on other platforms, at least on PC.
Previously, Souls Hunt was not seen in the publication of reliable insiders, so the information should be considered as a rumor for now.
