NieR Replicant rated 16 points higher than the original – review addiction

For tomorrow’s premiere NieR Replicant critics prepared reviews of the novelty, the average score of which on aggregators was about 16 points higher than the original NIER – 83 against 67 points.

Journalists note that the developers managed to successfully restore the project, but many old problems remained intact – including outdated game design, grind, empty open world and bad sides. But fresh content and new visual design left no questions.

The plot, like 11 years ago, remains the main asset of the project – and thanks to the re-release, now many more people can get acquainted with the emotional story “Replicant“. Gameplay innovations like a fresh combat system in style NieR: Automata called successful.

Unfortunately, the novelty also has problems – many publications that played the game on the PC (most of the reviews refer to the version on the PlayStation) complain about the technical condition: freezes, lags, lack of vertical synchronization, difficulties when playing with a gamepad and the appearance of a mouse cursor.

At the same time, due to the lack of in-sync or banal blocking of frames at 60 FPS, other problems arise – if the game produces more than 60 frames per second, the animation becomes unnaturally fast, which especially interferes in the battle with bosses.
