Resident Evil: Outrage Insider – Budget Close To Village, Game To Be Temporary Switch Exclusive

Last year’s massive leak Capcom revealed the company’s plans to release games for the next few years. Among them, the leaked files mention several new parts Resident evil, including a project subtitled Outrage.

According to previously released information from insider Dusk Golem, Resident evil: outrage created with an eye to Nintendo Switch as the ideological successor to the Revelations series starring Rebecca Chambers… Today, an informant revealed a few more details about the upcoming game.

  • The game will be a temporary launch exclusive on Switch, but will eventually appear on other platforms, both past and current generations;
  • Built on the RE Engine, but like Monster Hunter: Rise, this is a specially upgraded version of the engine for Switch.

“It won’t be the prettiest Resident Evil, but it will still look pretty darn good, especially on Switch.”

  • Rebecca Chambers will be accompanied by two more central characters returning from previous parts of RE;
  • The game is larger and more expensive than Revelations and Revelations 2. It has been in development for about four years and has approached the Village in terms of budget. In part, there is a possibility that this is precisely why Capcom will not use Revelations in the name;
  • The project will be announced a few months after the May launch of Resident Evil: Village in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the series. The release is expected to take place shortly thereafter – either late 2023 or early 2023.
