Mistake out: Ubisoft finally clears up the 4K resolution in Far Cry 6 on PS5

Recently Ubisoft found herself at the center of a new scandal. After Far Cry 6 announcement it turned out that only consoles can boast of support for 4K resolution and HDR in the game Xbox one x and Xbox series x – their mention was found at the end of the video, written in small print.

After the players asked the French company to comment on the situation, that answeredthat it really is. Ubisoft Support could not provide clear information about other systems.

PS4 Pro and PS5 fans were certainly upset by this fact, but they steadfastly continued to wait for another answer, hoping that Ubisoft would change its mind.

The staff of the Cultured Vultures website, in turn, tried to clarify the situation that arose, and this is what they got.

“For clarification, Far Cry 6 will run in 4K on PS5, PS4 Pro and PC. More details will be released at a later date, ”a Ubisoft spokesman said.

Thus, despite the confusion that has arisen, Far Cry 6 will still support 4K resolution on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 Pro, and the publisher will clarify the exact data on the latter closer to release. Most likely, on the current generation console, the picture will be displayed in a resolution of 2880 × 1620, as was the case with Far Cry 5, and the upcoming system from Sony boasts a full 3840 × 2160, unless, of course, Ubisoft provides players with a choice, as did the developers of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Far Cry 6 will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC on February 18, 2023.
