Ubisoft: It’s too early to talk about Beyond Good & Evil 2

According to Ubisoftthe game announced four years ago at E3 Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, but it’s “too early” to talk about anything else.

After a long silence, the French publisher brought up the 2003 prequel adventure at their quarterly investor meeting. However, the report, where Ubisoft lists its top franchises, is not specific.

Moreover, no one would have noticed the presence of Beyond Good & Evil 2 if one of the interlocutors had not asked about the state of the game. A Jefferies Group spokesman decided to clarify whether the game’s listing means it could hit the shelves, for example, in fiscal 2024.

“Nice try Ken,” CFO Frédéric Dughet told him. “We are well on the way with Beyond Good & Evil 2, but it’s too early to talk about the project at this stage.”

Since the announcement of Beyond Good & Evil 2, almost never appeared in the information field, until late last year senior producer Guillaume Brunier announced that Ubisoft might show the game “next year.”

The announcement came shortly after the game’s director, Michel Ansel, left the industry following an investigation into him for toxic behavior within the company.
