Connected will be released in July on PS4 and Oculus Quest, as well as on Steam and EGS

Developers from the studio Enhance Games announced that Tetris Effect: Connected will be released in July on PlayStation 4 and Oculus Quest, as well as Steam and Epic Games Store… All owners Tetris Effect will receive a free update.

At the same time, the game will receive the following innovations:

  • Cross-play support across all platforms including PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Oculus Quest, PC (Steam, EGS, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Game Pass. For matches among friends, it will be possible to join with a four-digit Room ID.
  • Spectator mode (only matches among friends). The mode supports 4 to 6 additional observer players depending on the multiplayer mode.
  • PAL Speed (Classic Score Attack Mode, Friend Matches and Local Matches only). A mode that mimics the European version of Tetris for the NES. Includes lower frame rates, faster horizontal movement, and faster fall rate at later levels.
  • Slow Speed (Zone Battle Mode, Friends and Local Matches only). The opposite of Hyper Fast mode. Slows down the process: a longer entry delay for new Tetriminos and a slower horizontal movement.

The authors note that crossplay support is a serious technical challenge, so they will conduct a beta test of the innovation. You cannot transfer progress to the final version.
