cinemas are unhappy with the release of “Black Widow” on Disney + – Igromania

According to The wall street journal, simultaneous release “Black Widow” in cinemas and Disney + displeased the owners of the US cinema chains.

According to sources, a group of business representatives are considering retaliatory measures against the studio, although there are no concrete ideas yet. Previously network AMC threatened that she would not show films if the agreement with the distributor turned out to be unprofitable for her.

Disney’s problems in relations with cinemas during the pandemic began with the release “Rayi”, which also came out in the premium Disney + format. At some points, the cartoon simply did not run, while others noted that it would be the studio’s “last project” to appear in the cinema.

Black Widow is also rolling out on Disney + on July 9 – owners of an online cinema subscription will need to pay an additional $ 30 to watch. According to the same scheme, the release will take place a little earlier “Cruella” – it will happen on May 28th.
Also earlier, Disney decided to release a new cartoon Pixar “Luke” immediately in my online cinema, which caused discontent among employees.
