In one place you run away from a giant Yeti, trying to run a difficult stage for a while, in another you ride a high-speed trolley, dodging attacks from enemies and explosive bolts falling from the sky, in the third you have to control platforms, avoiding opponents flying to meet … Features innovative controller DualSense they are used to a minimum, but in some sections the innovative functionality manifests itself, and otherwise you still feel a unique tactile feedback.

At all stages, the hero must collect the maximum of the hidden blue spheres, which are simply necessary in order to complete the next planet. At the first stage, 20 blue spheres are required, at the second – already 50, and so on. Moreover, sometimes you will have to return to the levels you have already passed in order to find hidden spheres, since without a sufficient number you will not be able to move on. And this is disappointing against the general background – why limit progress to finding orbs, even if the player has passed the levels with maximum scores?

At the beginning of the game, Sackboy has a limited set of features. You can jump, hit enemies, pull platforms with your hands, or grab dangerous enemies by the tail. But gradually the arsenal grows, and now you get a boomerang to destroy obstacles, flying boots and a hook for fast movement.

At the same time, some stages are intended only for cooperative passage, so that you can go on a journey with family members, where one player holds the platform, helping the second.
