Famous streamers Ninja and Shroud earned a lot of money on Mixer, but refused to switch to Facebook – insider

Corporation Microsoft generously paid to popular streamers Ninja and Shroud for leaving with Twitch and work on the service Mixer. A well-known e-sports journalist reports this with reference to his sources. Rod Breslau.

According to him, Ninja received about $ 30 million, and Shroud – in the region of $ 10 million.. The first switched from Twitch to Mixer in August, the second in October 2019. Today Microsoft announced the closure of the Mixer service and a partnership with Facebook Gaming.. Two top streamers were offered to work in a new place, but they, according to Breslau and several other insiders, refused. Now they are free and can already negotiate with any other sites.

According to some reports, Facebook Gaming offered Ninja and Shroud much more profitable contracts than Microsoft in 2019, but they decided not to mess with this service.

Mixer Program Manager Tara Wake wrote on her Twitter that she learned about the death of the video platform at about the same time as ordinary users. Previously, the situation was not discussed. She has already been offered a new job, and she does not know what will happen to the rest of the Mixer employees.
