Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, known for the films “Night Watch” and “Wanted”, is going to turn the sensational short film Don’t peek into a full-fledged horror tape.
The plot of Don’t Peek is about a girl who plays in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on his Nintendo Switch and over time begins to understand that all the actions that take place in her playroom are displayed in the real world. At first she finds it very funny, but only until the moment when a monster appears on the screen, wanting to keep her company. The frightened gamer girl refuses to let him in, but the intruder still enters the bedroom and attacks the girl.
Original Don’t Peek by Juliana Terry was presented on March 15th on the first day of the online festival SXSW 2023… Julian posted the short film on his official YouTube channel back in October, where it gained over 1.3 million views.
