The buyer of the GeForce RTX 3090, during disassembly, found a fingertip inside the video card

Forum guest Reddit found inside the purchased GeForce RTX 3090 rubber fingertip. User under the nickname Antonyjeweet decided to disassemble the video card, as it quickly heated up to 110 degrees Celsius.

The author of the post found a third-party item under one of the thermal pads. After removing the fingertip, the temperature returned to normal – the video card began to warm up to a maximum of 86 degrees Celsius.

Such fingertips are used during assembly so as not to leave fingerprints on the board and microcircuits. A user discovered a third-party item in an early production NVIDIA Founders Edition reference graphics card.
