In the footsteps of PlayStation 5: Microsoft patents Xbox controller recoil mechanics similar to DualSense

Corporation Microsoft patented Force-Feedback Trigger – new trigger recoil system for the controller Xbox… Apparently, it will be similar to the one implemented in the gamepad DualSense for Playstation 5

The patent describes how the Force-Feedback Trigger works. The triggers are said to provide measurable resistance to the user’s pulling in certain scenarios while playing. If the technology is similar to DualSense, then with the new controller, Xbox gamers will experience different track surfaces in Forza, the unique recoil of each weapon in Halo and Gears, as well as pulling the bowstring in Everwild and many other things that give an unusual gameplay experience.

When Microsoft will turn the patent into a real consumer product, and whether it will, is unknown. But the patent is fresh.
