Custom Strategy Ranking Warcraft III: Reforged on the Metacritic website dropped below the mark of 1 point – to the value 0.9 out of 10. This is an absolute anti-record resource in recent years. For comparison, the scandalous game rating Fallout 76, still occasionally throwing unpleasant surprises to its customers, is 2.7 out of 10 points.
As you know, on the Metacritic website, any registered visitor can rate any game without even playing it. The user reviews section is famous for the numerous planned raids and “rating wars” between supporters and opponents of certain projects, when some decide to give 0 points, while others – 10. As a rule, this situation does not allow us to consider the Metacritic user rating on a serious basis.
However, in the case of Warcraft III: Reforged, an interesting detail is observed – those same supporters of the game (some of whom may be really playing ones or not) turned out to be an absolute minority – users are in no hurry to actively raise the rating for the new product, it has been falling for the third day in a row. At the time of this writing, Reforged had 4,632 negative ratings and only 327 positive ratings.
The comments mention the same what’s on Reddit and official forums: the updated strategy suffers from numerous bugs and poor optimization, graphically the game was not updated well enough, there are no beautiful screensavers first demonstrated at BlizzCon 2018.
Users are also threatening to sue Blizzard for false marketing and are comparing the developers’ attitude to themselves with a “spit in the face.” The fact is that until recently, the project progressed video with a scene that was not in the final release.
