Recently Microsoft started forcing everyone to transfer to the new Edge browser based on Chromium. Reportedly, depending on the current version of Windows 10, one of the updates is installed: KB4541301, KB4541302, or KB4559309. The latter installs a new browser; you cannot skip it. But, as it turned out, it also brings problems.
Users began to complain that after installing “three-thirty-nine” there were problems with loading the PC, launching applications, as well as “brakes” in games. In particular, in some cases, the system can only be loaded in safe mode. Using OS recovery tools does not give a result.
In other cases, there is a drop in FPS in games or a slowdown when launching certain applications. At the moment, there is no single picture, so it is unclear how widespread the problem is.
As for solving the problem, everything here is somewhat more complicated than just deleting, because KB4559309 is a required patch. It remains to roll back Windows 10 to an earlier state using the recovery point, and then block the automatic installation of Edge. To do this, it can be installed manually.
