Ex-director Uncharted Dan Trachtenbergwho also made the film “Cloverfield 10“and some episodes of the series”Boys“praised the adventure action The Last of Us: Part II, openly calling the new Naughty Dog project a masterpiece of the gaming industry.

On his Twitter account, the director shared his impressions of the passing game, noting that the authors managed to create one of the most well-told stories in the history of storytelling.

“I went through The Last of Us 2. This is a masterpiece created by a master of his craft (I mean not only Neil, but also every department head, artist, programmer, tester, etc. Masters who alone know how to work at such a high level) . Actor play – the best I’ve ever seen.

Incredible sound design complements the excellent graphics and enhances the experience, and the plot is one of the best told in the history of storytelling.

A heartbreaking and superbly staged game. Experiencing other stories, I’ve never had so much life in me as with The Last of Us 2. “

Trachtenberg also compared the twists in The Last of Us: Part II storyline to those from BioShock. In particular, if you remember the episode “Be so gracious” from the original “Bioshock”, you better prepare for surprises.

In a similar assessment of The Last of Us: Part II, Trachtenberg was not alone. Despite the negative reaction from part of the fans that followed the spoiler drain, the game showed one of the best critical tricks of this generation. Western observers rated it on average 96 points out of 100 according to Metacritic.

The release of the project will take place on June 19th.
