The Vatican, IBM and Microsoft have called for the regulation of the use of AI by individuals. – review addiction

Vatican joins forces with technology giants Microsoft and Ibmto promote the ethical development of artificial intelligence and call for facial recognition technology regulation.

The idea is to limit the use of AI, not to use it in situations where people’s privacy may suffer, and to take into account human rights and apply it transparently. Pope Francis expressed concern about the uncontrolled spread of artificial intelligence technologies in his speech, which was read out on his behalf at a press conference in Rome.

The pontiff himself could not be present there because of the coronavirus, which he contracted the other day.
It was stated in a speech that a situation where several chosen ones know everything about people dulls critical thinking and the conscious exercise of freedom. Such inequality can be a serious risk to a democratic society.

Representatives of Microsoft and IBM, who were at the press conference, supported such an initiative.
