Edition Reuters reports that smartphone makers Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo plan to launch their platform for the distribution of mobile applications. It will be an analog Google play.

Project called Global developer service alliance (GDSA), it will allow you to place applications in the stores of all four companies at once, as well as promote them outside of China, which will make life easier for developers.

At the first stage, the project will be launched in nine regions, including in Russia. The new initiative will create a counterweight to Google in the Asian and European regions.

The vice president of the mobile division in the company is confident in this. Canalys Nicole Peng. According to him, India, Southeast Asia and Europe need such a project, since the participants Gdsa have a powerful user base in these regions.

Note that the start was planned for March 2023, but it can be postponed due to an outbreak of coronavirus.
