Channel AMC announced that the final season “Walking Dead” will begin on 22 August.
The season kicks off with eight episodes, which will serve as the main setting for the finale – this time the story will be told in a larger format, as the number of episodes in the final season has grown to 24.
The creators promise that in the last season the scale will grow, they will show new locations and types of zombies, and the plot itself will end in 2023. However, the universe will not leave the television screens at this point – already in 2023, a spin-off about Daryl and Carol will begin to appear.
Also in the works is an anthology series from the world of “Walkers”.
