The authors of Ratchet & Clank responded to those who did not believe in the authenticity of the gameplay from the presentation of the PlayStation 5

Presented during the presentation of The Future of Gaming Show demo Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart showed real gameplay recorded directly from Playstation 5. Insomniac Games clarified this point today on Twitter, because not all players believed that the gameplay was real.

The developers also responded to some user comments, confirming in particular that the effects of reflections in the game are made using ray tracing. The project itself was not created “because it was necessary to show the potential of the SSD console”, but is a full-fledged new game in the Ratchet & Clank series, developed from scratch for the PlayStation 5.

There are still few other details about the project. At Rift Apart, our fearless duo will set off on a new intergalactic adventure that will offer new gameplay opportunities thanks to an ultra-fast SSD and DualSense controller. Players will be able to almost instantly move between dimensions, and tactile feedback and adaptive gamepad triggers will add realism to the sensations and immerse them even more in the gameplay. Also, judging by the trailer, a mysterious new heroine will play an important role in the continuation of the story.
