Technical enthusiast and processor overclocking specialist under the pseudonym De8auer conducted extensive testing of processors Core i9 10900K categorized. The bottom line is that this chip, as stated earlier, is very hot. The audit showed that this is only partly true.
De8auer tested thirty chips with overclocking to 5.1 GHz and a voltage of 1.25 V. As it turned out, seven processors showed a temperature of 79 ° C, which is 23.3% of the total. At 67%, the temperature was 85 ° C. Also, one chip warmed up to 92 ° C.
Energy consumption ranged from 232 to 278 watts. At the same time, the largest power consumption did not correlate with the highest temperature, as well as the lowest – with low.
Thus, less than a quarter of the chips in the batch can be considered cold. In all other cases, you will have to take care of liquid cooling in advance.
